I started my health career being a pharmacist and I went in the pharmacy and I just didn’t like anything about it. I had to decide at that point in time, I’ve got to do something different. So I knew some dentists at that time.
I talked with them about their profession. I went to their office and decided, hey, this really looks interesting. So went back to school to become a dentist and it’s been very enjoyable and really, really made the right decision.
The most rewarding part for me about being a dentist is the profound impact you can have on patients’ lives. It’s very enjoyable to have a patient come in that hasn’t smiled for many years and doing the treatment on them, giving them a mirror and just see the big grin on their face. Very enjoyable.
